Day 1 & 2
Early meet and greet from our Company Ambassador/ representative at the place of accommodation and set off for Western Uganda trip to the land of the Great Giants Capital (Gorillas) with a stop over at the Equator of Uganda for breakfast an some photographs. Continue west via Masaka town and then Mbarara where we shall have our Lunch ascend through the hill dotted highs of the Kigezi mountains also known as the Switzerland of Africa. Continue the ascent through terraced farmlands before reaching Bwindi National park headquarters a home for the Gorillas.
This long drive will take you around 8–9hrs depending on the speed and a 4wd is recommended due to the terrain of the area, we shall r each in the evening retire for Supper and overnight at Siverback lodge/ Buhoma lodge/ Buhoma community campsite.
Meal Plan: (D)
An early rise for breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing from the ranger guides before departure into the jungle on the Tracking etiquette. You are advised to carry plenty of water, packed lunch boxes plus rain gears and to be physically fit for the activity because it involves climbing high altitudes of above 7000 feet. The search for the Gorillas is strenuous, following their foot prints until when you reach them, but when you find them, all the fatigue will be lost as you will be mesmerized spending time with them while taking photographs for atleast an hour, this is believed to be one of the greatest wildlife encounter in the World. WOW !!!!!!!
As if that is not enough, the forest is endowed with a variety of other primates like the different types on monkeys and a variety of birds, This is a killing of 2 birds with one stone.
After, back to the lodge with memories that will last in your Medullar for life.
Day: 3 After breakfast in the morning, we shall head for a Nature walk into the community of the Batwa people/ pygmies who are believed to be the shortest people in the world. The community is equally rewarding with Cultural performances from organised groups/ traditional healer or blacksmith, This is another way of giving back to the community.
After embark on your return journey back home Kampala/ Jinja with Lunch en route with memories of the jungle. If time allows, you can visit the Royal drum makers/ Crocodile village in Buwama on your way back, reaching in the evening.
