Lake Mburo National Park is a gem of a park, conveniently located close to the western highway that connects Kampala to the parks of western Uganda. Lake Mburo is one of the smaller national parks in Uganda just 370sqkm but it should not be bypassed because of its size! The park’s lake supports Crocodiles and Hippos, which can be seen grazing on cool mornings and the surrounding papyrus swamps hide the beautiful Sitatunga, a special Antelope with narrow elongated hooves, which allow them to move freely on marshy land.

THE MAGICAL HIKE (MOUNT ELGON)
Mount Elgon National Park is a national park 140 kilometres (87 mi) northeast of Lake Victoria. The park covers an area of 1,279 square kilometres (494 sq mi) and is bisected by the border of Kenya and Uganda. The Ugandan part of the park covers 1,110 square kilometres (430 sq mi) while the Kenyan part covers 169 square kilometres (65 sq mi).
